US-based Milliken & Company is all set to introduce benefits of its additives for packaging applications with a focus on the sustainability advantages of Millad NX 8000 clarifying agents for polypropylene (PP).
Millad NX 8000 from Milliken enable PP to be processed at lower temperatures of 190 C to 200 C, cutting down energy use and associated carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions while enhancing clarity and brightness.
The lower temperatures reduce energy consumption by 15 to 20% on average and also lessen cooling time and overall cycle time, resulting in improved productivity.
Milliken's additives and colorants offer a new level of aesthetics, processing efficiency and energy conservation to molders and manufacturers. The technologies can also improve the PP clarity, add color to food contact applications, reduce warpage and deliver reductions in cycle time.
The company will showcase the benefits at PACK EXPO 2012 in Chicago from 28-31 October.
