Dr Reddy's Laboratories has introduced bioequivalent generic version of Plavix, Clopidogrel Tablets, USP 75mg and 300mg, in the US.
The Clopidogrel Tablets USP, 75mg are available in bottle count sizes of 30, 90 and 500, and tablets of 300mg strength are available in blister packs of 30's count.
The FDA has approved ANDAs of Clopidogrel Tablets USP, 75mg and 300mg. The company has received 180 days of marketing exclusivity for 300mg strength.
According to IMS Health, the Plavix brand had US sales of approximately $6.74 bn for the twelve months ending March 2012.
