Specialties Recalls Shurfine Ice Cream Due to Incompatible Ingredients

According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the product subject to recall was packed with a ShurFine Praline Pecan lid, but bears the Dulce de Leche product labeling on the carton.

The recalled product was sold in 1.75 quarts (1.66L) scround containers in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas. The carton bears UPC code 015400224840, best by date of 8 Nov 2014, and Plant Code 48-3202-F.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the ShurFine brand product.

Consumers intolerant to pecans, soy and/or wheat have been warned not to consume the product as it may result in serious or life-threatening allergic reaction. FDA has advised customers who purchased the product to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
