Bendix has announced it recently produced its 500,00th ADB22X air disc brake.
The company says it will produce 180,000 air disc brakes this year alone, out of its production facility in Bowling Green, Ky.
The Bendix ADB22X has been in production since 2005. Demand has increased more than five-fold since 2009, the company says. Production reached the quarter million mark in early 2012 and has doubled that in just 18 months.

Bendix recently invested $3.8 million into its Bowling Green facility to keep up with demand.
